Good Day!

Sorry for the delay in blogging, however there was an impromptu trip to Winnipeg for Lily and I that ended with Lily having diarrhea at 38,000 feet! Lily went to the Drs yesterday as she is not feeling well. She's on medication and is slowly returning to her lively self. Last night was a rough night as she couldn't get settled and was up from 1 a.m to 5 a.m. then I settled in the basement in the recliner, but she wasn't happy there either. Finally I put Lily in the musical chair where she got two hours of sleep early this morning. She is now in the fourth hour of her morning 'nap'. I was lucky to catch a few winks too. She was much happier this morning so I hope that she feels better soon.

Although I quite enjoyed the slideshows, the fans wrote in with some concerns, namely that those with lower speed connections weren't able to see the photos. SO, I will use them sparingly. As I don't know how much time I have for this blog, I'm just going to post some photos. Enjoy!

Prior to our trip to Winnipeg, we watched Liz's four kids while she supported a friend during her labour. Here is three year old David helping Nana support her casted arm. The cast is now off and the stitches are removed. Now all that needs to happen is that Mom takes it easy (yeah, I know, highly unlikely!) and lets it heal. The Dr's are happy with its improvement.
Here is a photo of Donald and his niece Cora at the Winnipeg airport.
Here's a photo of Lily and I at the airport. This was Lily's 3rd flight. She is awesome on the plane! Enough so that on our return trip the crew nominated Lily to be WestJet's new mascot! Even in her condition!

The purpose for our trip to Winnipeg was to accompany Donald while he got to visit with his family. Shown here is his Mom Cindy, his half-sister Kierra, half-brother Ryan and half-sister Chas and her daughter Zoe. Donald spent Saturday through Tuesday with his Mom while Connie and I visited Winnipeg.
Lily is showing Cora how to play with the mobile. With only four months between the girls, Cora is quickly catching up to Lily! According to WestJet scales, Lily is 21.6 pounds.
Connie and Cora hanging out in what Connie claims to be the largest washroom she's ever been in. It was the washroom at the original The Bay in downtown Winnipeg.

Lily is loving the mirrors in the Bay's gigantic washroom.

In Connie's reflection you can see the corner of Portage and Main.

At our hotel, this was a great café where we had our dinner two of the three nights.

We spent our entire time in Winnipeg shopping and site seeing! Here you see me holding Lily's hand back from 'exploring' the $300 chocolate bunny at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

Lily is enjoying the comforts of our hotel room. Other than being woken up at 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. when the drunk guests arrived, it was a great stay complete with a waterslide and pool!

Cora is enjoying her time hanging out at the Forks. Cora is now three and a half months old.

Which one is cuter ?!
